Short Bio:
Wallace Moreira Bessa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. He also serves as Associate Editor of Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (Springer) and as Member of the Commitee for Dynamics of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (ABCM). He earned his B.Sc. degree at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, his M.Sc. degree at the Brazilian Military Institute of Engineering, and his D.Sc. degree at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, all in Mechanical Engineering. From 2015 to 2017, he was a CAPES-Humboldt Research Fellow at the Institute of Mechanics and Ocean Engineering of the Hamburg University of Technology. His research interests include control theory, intelligent systems, robotics, mechatronics and nonlinear dynamics.
